  7. Get 1/4 cup desiccated coconut

Coconut Burfi (Thengai Burfi) is a tasty south Indian sweet done on most of the festival days. Fresh grated coconut in cardamom flavoured sugar syrup.   1. In a pan take coconut, milk, sugar, milk powder and mix well
  2. Add ghee and switch on flame
  3. Mix well and cook on medium flame until it becomes together like dough
  4. When mixture comes together & releases pan immediately transfer half mixture to plate & give a square shape to mixture
  5. In remaining mixture add desiccated coconut, food color and cook on medium flame till mixture thickens.
  6. Once it comes together switch off flame and transfer the mixture on previous coconut layer.
  7. Let it set at room temperature for at least an hour.
  8. Cut burfi in pieces & garnish with sliced almonds.
